WORLD OF Beer could not have found a better home: Technopolis, located in a historical gas factory in Gazi, is well-known for organizing various cultural events and festivals. This unique location provides the perfect setting for bringing together beer enthusiasts and the different events taking place at WORLD OF Beer.
Let’s take a small tour of the venues of Technopolis so you can be prepared for what and where you will find when you come to the festival…
Gasholder 1 – Auditorium “Miltiadis Evert”: Stand-up comedy shows by Vyron Theodoropoulos – Michalis Mathioudakis, Lambros Fisfi and a surprise beer event moderated by Dionysis Atzarakis.
New retorts: You will find booths of participating companies.
Old retorts: There will be a small Museum for beer and its history, where visitors will have the unique opportunity to see up close material (old objects and brewing tools, collectible beer packaging, etc.) of the companies that will participate as exhibitors. At the entrance of this hall, you will find the official shop of the festival and the Wheel of Fortune.
Purifier: It will host Workshops with Beer sommeliers, bartenders, brewers, executives of beer brands of the Greek market, who will talk about the history, culture, types, production process of beer, etc.
Machine Works: You will find booths of participating companies.
Central Courtyard: It will host booths of participating companies, the Stage with the concerts and dj sets of the radio producers, the beer tables in front of the stage and the Free Tasting area where you will be able to try the limited edition beer of the festival.
Machine Works – Courtyard: Here you will find: the Playground tables where you can sit and enjoy your street food and beer. The Games area with air hockey, basketball, table football, strength games. Also, booths of participating companies.
How to reach Technopolis
Technopolis in Gazi can easily be reached by METRO, “Keramikos” station is only 50 m away from the venue’s entrance on Iakhou street.
The Technopolis entrance during the festival will be on Iakchou Street and visitors will exit from Persephonis street.
Apart from the METRO (Line 3, “Keramikos” station), there are many bus lines (049, 815, 838, 914, Β18, Γ18 and trolley 21) that will take visitors to Technopolis; in this case, they will have to disembark at “Fotaerio” stop on Pireos street.
Please note that Technopolis does not offer parking.
